Jørgen Christian Wind Nielsen graduated from Copenhagen Business School in 1982 with a master’s degree in business translation and interpreting for Spanish and English. He is also a stagiaire in interpreting at the European Parliament. Over the years, he has been deeply involved in language politics and is a member of the Danish Language Council (Dansk Sprognævn).
